ROLL CALL
On a call of the roll the following Council Members reported present: Steve Olsen, Rae Hanstad, Sue Horgan, Joe DeVito, and Carol Smith. Also present were: City Manager, Jere Kersnar; City Attorney, Monte Widders; Ojai Chief of Police, Capt. Bruce Norris; Finance Director, Susie Mears, Acting Public Works Director, Mike Culver; and City Clerk, Carlon Strobel.

1. CONSENT CALENDAR
a) Warrants for October 4, 2007 and Payroll Warrants for October 11, 2007 in the amount of $206,736.10.
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize payment.
b) Minutes of the Ojai City Council Meeting of October 9, 2007
RECOMMENDATION: Approve as submitted.
c) Minutes of the Ojai Planning Commission Meeting of September 5, 2007
RECOMMENDATION: Receive and file.
d) Minutes of the Ojai City Council and Planning Commission Special Meeting of September 19, 2007.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve as submitted.
e) An Ordinance Extending that Certain Franchise Agreement for Cable Television Service by and between the City of Ojai and Time Warner Cable
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Ordinance No., 797 to become effective November 24,
2007.
f) Treasurer’s Monthly Report of Investments for the City of Ojai and the
Redevelopment Agency
RECOMMENDATION: Receive and file.
MOTION: Council Member Horgan moved and Council Member Hanstad seconded to
approve the Consent Calendar as presented.

NOES: None
ABSTAIN: DeVito abstained as to the Minutes of the Ojai City Council
Meeting of October 9, 2007 only.

DISCUSSION
2. Skate Park Closure
City Manager Kersnar presented an overview of the staff report and emphasized that the report concerned the immediate condition of the Skate Park, not its long term future.
Mr. Kersnar reported on a detailed inspection of the structures at the Skate Park. After the inspection, the City of Ojai Building Inspector, Brian Meadows, concluded that the structures were unsafe. The Skate Park has been closed.
